What strikes you most about the Charge of the Goddess? (the version I use is from Doreen Valiente)
Most of the time when you see the charge, it is the following version.
As you read it, you will notice that it leaves out a few lines. What do these missing lines do to the power of the Charge, in your opinion?
What does the concept 'being naked' in rites mean?
Answer this question for both the Charge of the Goddess and the Charge of the God:
How do you see the two halves of the charge? Do they feel different to you?
What about this section of the Charge of the Goddess "And therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honour and humility, mirth and reverence within you..." Compare it to the following lines in The Charge of the God
"...Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within you."
Discuss how these pieces can work either interwoven together or separately.
What do you think of the full version of the Wiccan Rede?
