* WRITE DOWN YOUR DREAMS - this exercise in itself helps to train your memory. We all leave our bodies every night but often we just don't remember, so it is of utmost importance to train ourselves to remember what we do.
* CHOOSE AN ASTRAL PROJECTION TECHNIQUE - we are all different so what suits some may not suit others. Some may prefer a visualisation technique, others a more tactile method.
* CONSISTENCY - do your Astral Projection practice every day or night, consistency is essential as you are learning a new skill and it must be fixed in your subconscious mind.
* READ ABOUT THE ASTRAL ENVIRONMENT - in this way you will be prepared and informed about what you may find when you leave your body.
* TRY TO STAY AWAKE WHILE FALLING ASLEEP - each time you go to sleep is an opportunity to leave your body, so try to stay awake while your body falls asleep. Stay aware but without concentrating too hard. Let your body sink down while your consciousness stays quietly alert.
* USE AFFIRMATIONS - repeat to yourself 'now I'm out-of-body, now I'm out-of-body.'
* REALITY CHECK DURING THE DAY - during the day every so often ask yourself 'Am I dreaming?' In the end you will start to do this in your dreams and as a consequence will wake up in your dreams, a lucid dream is just a step away from an OBE.
* DETERMINATION - this is what really counts, it is what we used as babies when we were learning to walk. Even though we kept falling over we kept getting up and giving it another go. Nothing and no one was going to stop us from learning to walk, now we are learning to fly and we must employ that same determination.
