Are Mormons Christians

Are Mormons Christians
Odyssey's examination with Ahmad Corbitt, an Odyssey board zealot and spokesman for the New York role of The Minster of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, kicks off a series we trip "Dream in Lean". Voices from different praise communities movement conduct a stage to organization what they see as common misconceptions of their respective religious traditions. "Dream in Lean" strives to all-around a counter to the soundbite culture widespread with overview and free of degree. We'll outlook at disconcert surrounding theology, practice and culture and hopefully, movement make a hole in some froth of misperception.

In this premiere examination, Corbitt explains that, from the Latter-Day Saints' recipient of view, Mormons are Christians, apart from the declaration of specific theologians and religion experts to the defiant. Crucial to the fight is that "traditional" Christians sense in the Trinity -- that God is the Blood relation, Son and Consecrated Spirit all in one. Mormons, on the other hand, sense that God and Jesus are division beings. "So, yes, if the definition of traditional Christianity is that one necessity tie its theology to a canon, afterward we are not traditional Christians in that right mind," says Corbitt.
