AP Lesson 5 - 3 Techniques In your last lesson, we talked about some of the most common fears people experience when they're first learning to consciously astral project. You learned what those fears are, why each of them is based on false understandings of astral projection, and how to overcome them. Now that you've got a handle on those fears, you can feel much more free to begin to develop your astral projection skills. So in today's Lesson, we're going to have a look at three of the most effective techniques for conscious Astral Projection. I want to point out that there are many other techniques as well, some of which you'll learn in my course. But the below methods are ideal for those of you who are brand new to the world of astral travel.

Technique Number 1: The Rope Technique The ROPE technique is considered one of the easiest methods for successfully getting out of your body. But keep in mind that everyone is different, so if this doesn't work for you after experimenting for awhile, you can try another. You want to begin by imagining an invisible ROPE hanging from your ceiling, just above your head.

This ROPE will be used to exert dynamic pressure at a single point on your astral body. In essence, it will help you to force your astral body to separate from your physical one. All you need to do is visualize or imagine the rope there before you begin your pre-separation sequence. Then, when you've got an astral arm 'out' of your body, simply reach for the rope and begin to pull. If you've got two arms to pull with, even better. The action of pulling yourself hand over hand up a rope is a strong, one pointed, natural action that is easy to imagine yourself doing. The ROPE technique concentrates ALL your mental resources into one strong, DYNAMIC action, which exerts a high level of pressure directly on a single point of the astral body.

Technique Number 2: The Target Technique The Target Technique helps you build your ability to focus and maintain your awareness away from the physical body as you prepare to separate. This is extremely important since any thoughts of your physical body will immediately pull you back into it.

Step 1: Select three targets in your home. All three targets should be physical items that you can visualize with relative ease. Your targets should be in a different area of your home than the room you normally use for your out-of-body techniques. (For example, you could select your favorite chair for your first target. For your second, focus upon a gift or artwork that holds some special meaning to you. Third, select the most visually stimulating object available, such as your favorite painting, sculpture, or crystal.) All three targets should be in the same room.

Step 2: Physically examine every detail. Study each object from different perspectives; notice any imperfections or irregularities. Take your time with each object, memorizing the structure and texture of each target. Become aware of all of your senses during your walk, especially your sense of sight and touch. Repeat your observations several times until you can easily recall the smallest details of each target.

Step 3. Focus your full attention on one of the targets as you drift off to sleep. If you are persistent, the results will be dramatic. To enhance this exercise, take your time and repeat your physical and visual walk-through daily for thirty days. Get interested and involved in each target. This technique is a great way to increase your concentration and visualization skill and it only takes minutes to perform.

Technique Number 3: The Glass of Water Technique In this exercise you will charge a glass of water so that it's vibratory rate increases. Then, when you drink the water, you'll raise your own vibratory frequency, making it easier to astral travel.

Step 1. Understand Polarity Your right hand is predominantly positive and your left hand is predominantly negative. When you place both your hands on the opposing sides of a glass of water, you actually create a charge that will magnetize the water, giving it a higher vibratory rate. So to start, grab a glass of water and head to a comfortable and quiet place. Place your hands around the glass. Make sure you maintain contact with the glass so that the water can absorb the energy coming from you.

Step 2. Sensing As you feel the warmth and energy pulsate through your wrists and hands, concentrate until the pulsing sensation spreads to your fingers. Let the pulsing get stronger and stronger.

Step 3. Full Magnetization Focus on the glass of water and as the pulsing continues to increase, you will feel a sort of throbbing emanating from the glass. The water is now different. Continue holding the glass of water for 5 minutes until you feel that the glass is trying to push your hands away. Now, the water has been fully magnetized.

Step 4. Drink Quickly gulp down the water. Many people who perform this technique will feel a sort of warm sensation in their belly. This is due to the charged water. As you digest the water, your own vibratory frequency will increase.

Step 5. Repeat Perform steps 1-4 everyday for 7 days.

Step 6. White Light Repeat the technique on the 8th day. Once you've charged the water, gulp it down, then lie down and visualize white light surrounding the inside of the walls of your room. Then visualize another white light surrounding just your body. This is a form of white light technique that will be used to keep negative entities away from you.

Step 7. Visualize Separation Breathe in deeply, hold for 12 seconds and release slowly. Do this 2 times. After the second inhale, hold your breath and imagine yourself standing at your feet staring at your body lying down. Keep this image in your mental screen.

Step 8. Push yourself out. Now take in the third breath and count slowly till 12. Expel your breath quickly and as forcefully as you can. As you exhale, feel yourself pushing out of your physical body. With practice, you'll be able to find yourself staring at you physical body while standing at your feet. Remember, not all techniques will work for you. I'm sharing these because they're some of my favorites and they've got a great track record of working for others, too. In the last lesson we went through some of the most common fears, fears that seem to come up time and time again when I talk to people who are trying to astral project. You have learned what the fears are and more importantly what they are based on, because understanding your fears and you're almost there. You have also learned how to overcome them.

Now that you have blown away the fear, you are free to begin to develop your astral projection skills. So in today's Lesson we're taking another step forward.

There are many techniques to choose from, many of my students tell me that they are confused by the choice, it can be a bit of a daunting task to look though a long list and choose one that you think may suit you. I always ask my students for feedback particularly about the astral projection techniques that work for them. The techniques I have included here are based on this feedback.

We're going to have a look at three techniques that I have found to be the most effective for conscious Astral Projection. You'll learn other techniques in my course but the following are the ones which I consider ideal for those of you who are brand new to the world of astral travel; tried and tested by myself and, of course, my students.

TECHNIQUE NUMBER 1: THE ROPE TECHNIQUE

This is one of the easiest methods for leaving your body, of course everyone is different so if you find it doesn't suit you try a different one. I enjoyed testing the various methods and I'm sure you will too.

You must forget about your physical body completely or you will immediately find yourself back in it. I learned this the hard way, in the beginning I would often find myself back in my body because I had focused on it. My students often tell me that they have problems staying out of their body once they have gone through the separation process so I always recommend the following technique.

"Step 1: Select three targets in your home."

All three targets should be physical items that you can visualize with relative ease.
