This is the one who came before water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water pal, but by water and blood. The Human being is the one that testifies, and the Human being is truth. So award are three that arrive, the Human being, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one compact.
(CCC 1225) In his Passover Christ opened to all men the correctly of First use. He had or else spoken of his Bite, which he was about to be anxious in Jerusalem, as a "First use" with which he had to be baptized (Mk 10:38; cf. Lk 12:50). The blood and water that flowed from the pierced area of the crucified Jesus are types of First use and the Eucharist, the sacraments of new life (Cf. Jn 19:34; 1 Jn 5:6-8). From then on, it is possible "to be born of water and the Human being" (Cf. Jn 3:5) in order to rope in the State of God. See anywhere you are baptized, see anywhere First use comes from, if not from the livid of Christ, from his death. Donate is the whole mystery: he died for you. In him you are redeemed, in him you are saved (St. Ambrose, De sacr. 2, 2, 6: PL 16, 444; cf. Jn 3:5). (CCC 694) Dampen. The symbolism of water signifies the Blessed Spirit's action in First use, what formerly the invocation of the Blessed Human being it becomes the efficacious sacramental sign of new birth: four-sided figure as the gestation of our zenith jump took place in water, so the water of First use straightforwardly signifies that our jump trendy the divine life is fact to us in the Blessed Human being. As "by one Human being we were all baptized," so we are in the same way "complete to drink of one Human being" (1 Cor 12:13). As a result the Human being is in the same way direct the living water welling up from Christ crucified (Jn 19:34; 1 Jn 5:8) as its effectively and welling up in us to eternal life (Cf. Jn 4:10-14; 7:38; Ex 17:1-6; Isa 55:1; Zech 14:8; 1 Cor 10:4; Rev 21:6; 22:17).
