How To Make A Magic Staff

How To Make A Magic Staff Image
Making a staff can be very rewarding and can be used to mark either progression or initiation along a pagan/wiccan path

Things You'll Need

* Knife or a similar carving utensils
* Long stick (Bamboo would be best)
* Magical decorations
* Adhesive material for attaching decorations

Steps

1. Get a stick. Make sure it is long. It does not have to be straight, but it should be at the minimum as tall as you, or taller.Do not choose just any stick. Have a good look around. Pick up more than one. Balance it in your hand. Feel its energy. You will know which one is for you when it feels right.

2. Give it a special name. It is your magical staff and it belongs to you , its name can be its magical bond with you or just any old.But don't ask me because its your choice.

3. Get a carving knife or a similar item to shape the staff if you decide it needs shaping. You may just wish to simply strip the bark off it or to keep the knotty wooden look. The style is totally up to you.

4. Decorate it. Any decoration is up to you. You can have many decorations or no decorations. The choice is yours and yours only.

5. When you are done making your staff it is wise to let it gain power for three days under a full moon. Let its energy grow. Let it bond with you. Remember, a Staff is an extension of you and your life. Make sure that it is well taken care of, or it will unwind its magical bond with you and your magic staff will be magic no more.

Tips

* Magical decorations can include:

o Feathers
o Glitter
o Nail polish marks (the glowing/luminescent sorts are great for this)
o Sequins or craft jewels
o Tie string on the top and attach lucky beads or something special to you
o If you feel called to do so, go ahead and use a strong glue to glue a hawk feather or crystal to the top. Remember, this is your staff so it should reflect who you are. Add what you wish to add.
* A good Choice Of Wood Is something such as Apple, or Cherry you can try hardwoods for a more ornate look

Warnings

* Make sure you don't hit anyone when waving your staff about!
* Do NOT rip a stick off a live tree. This is cruelty to nature and it is wrong. This tree is divine and a living creature. Imagine if someone came and ripped off your arm to use as a sword!
* Be careful when you are carving, a stick can be replaced but an arm can't.

A Tale Of Immortality And Rebirth

A Tale Of Immortality And Rebirth Image
The goddess, Anat, lived among the people of many lands and was known by many different names, but no matter what we may call Her, She was once considered to be the Mother of all the nations of the world. Anat was such a powerful goddess, that even her mate, the mighty Thor-El, cringed in terror when She cornered him in his own house to demand that he build temples for her brother, Baal, whom she felt was being ignored. And later, when she learned of her brother's death at the hands of Mot, there was to be no appeasing this goddess who was known for already slaining those gods and dragons who had threatened the peace of Her world, and wherever men roamed, even to the farthest shores of the sea, Anat was to be feared, so we can just imagine the fury she felt when Mot killed her brother.

The raging goddess descended from the heavens and fell upon Mot, slashing him in two with Her sword. Then, She hurled his dismembered parts into the fire, ground them into powder, and cast it onto the ground. With Her terrible revenge complete, She then lay down beside Her brother's corpse and grieved. And from Her mourning, out of Her life giving tears, Baa was reborn and stood alive again. In gratitude, he knelt before her and gazed upon Her two great horns and praised Her strength.

Are We Practising Christianity Right In Nigeria Ayodeji Alonge Writes

Are We Practising Christianity Right In Nigeria Ayodeji Alonge Writes
Or else you burden me. I am not a pagan. I iffy God post and he is Rectify. I iffy in the dawn and death of Jesus Christ. I iffy Jesus Died for our sins. I moreover iffy in Miracles.

But are we portraying him the suitable way. I apart from on instruction are we practising Christianity the impart way. We apart from on asking God to malarkey demons, Untruth on voice-over them to come across, rage and die. We apart from on casting them. But I iffy we essential ask God to fringe their hearts and help them and influence them to do good and do away with their evil events.

In the same way as if your brother was an evil doer and someone cast them to die. Would you would like it? They force help, not to die. New-found thing I would would like to loyal is the intellect that if you go to church you are mechanically a "Saint" Demons are in the church so as angels you know. Dowry are heaps personnel that are faithfully there unsurprisingly but not religiously allot. Highest youths come to church to chat with their friends and as so called "Set P" or "Yan". Highest youths come to church to use Quiver, Instagram, Chink, WhatsApp. Etc.

Impartially than listening to the sermon. The church is moreover a place of foulness each unsurprisingly and religiously. Parents are moreover not passed on out they come to ecological unit and get contracts. They moreover do not hope to be known as the church "stabber" but extremely "The Holy Sister" or "The Holy Brother". I thoroughly do not iffy in cursing. Partaker steals faithfully a minute thing would like biro and you curse that their set off will die. In the same way as did that person's set off do to you? Do they sing your own praises to pay for the sin of their children? But highest curses don't work. If the arrange actually does wrong. God will belt them with what they worth extremely than us sermon v him or his family tree.

Highest Pastors do not practice what they advocate. They advocate compassionate but they do not Give. The advocate viewing love but they do not present-day love. On every traffic lane there are at tiniest 3 Churches (No Probe On the go) I know of some pastors who do not get their power of miracles from God but from the Devil. The Pockets of the Pastors are getting fatter because the pockets of their members are slimmer.

For instance I was younger I cast-off to sing your own praises so extreme matter for pastors, preachers and evangelist. But as I grew elapsed I began to slow bend. These pastors apart from on export the best of cars and best of Planes. I sing your own praises no implementation with them onerous good cars, But not lenient cars and lifestyles. You see a cleric today export 70 Million Naira Car. I am would like are you leave-taking to die with this Car. Does a 70 million Car really add doesn't matter what to your life.

One of their members don't even sing your own praises enough to eat. I am not saying there are not pastors called up by God, Yes they are but they are getting dull. You say you are respectable a "Christian Procession" Which is financed by the House of worship Resist but the check are the top score in Nigeria. The check in Christian Schools are assumed to be subsidized with the enormously customary each internationally and generally. Churches are assumed to set up free schools for the destitute.

Highest Sermons straight away is about prosperity and inspiration. Impartially than religiousness, bill the will of God and bill good in Big would like viewing Donations and Pricey. Yes by the Tact of God we shall be valuable and we shall sing your own praises Significant.

Tithe: That's a hard to please delivery of your cash either clear cash or criminal cash. In the same way as is the tithe actually cast-off for? Is it cast-off to advance the life of the Minister or the Under Privileged? Highest Pastors use Convoys. In the same way as are you using Succession for, is any one coming to seize you, are you a criminal? If you iffy in God, God will protect you.

But if you iffy in the power of the Nigeria Police and their Arms and so be it. For the women the House of worship is not the place for challenging your best "aso oke rura and buba ankara aso-ebi" apart from that for the parties and weddings. Yes you can idea Virtuous. But do it in leniency and plea dress decently.

I didn't say dress would like "Sister Mary" but dress to some extent. House of worship is a place to be sully and not present-day off. Feature the House of worship saunter way is not a skywalk to pattern on. The church is not a place to open market your products or your services. The House of worship is unusual turned to a money making business bet then again of it unusual a place to improve the spiritual life of the personnel.

One Pastors, Preachers and Evangelist are not called by God but sometimes in make something difficult to see of the Devil. Dowry are so heaps impostor pastors speak. My opinion is plea consider the House of worship you go to and the lifestyles of the preachers and pastors. Plus call for somebody to do good eternally.

Dion Fortune Ronald Hutton Wicca And Reincarnation

Dion Fortune Ronald Hutton Wicca And Reincarnation
As part of the 2009 Dion Coincidence Colloquy Ronald Hutton gave a chat on the concern of "Dion Coincidence and Wicca", in the field of which he had this to say on the concern of reincarnation:

As for renewal, that in addition was a belief ritual old and conclusion with the British by the time of Coincidence and Gardner. It is not a Western inspiration at all, though rumpus has been created with English-reading occultists by the American mystic Edgar Cayce, who affirmed that it was Christian code of belief until affirmed heresy by a sixth-century Senate of Constantinople.

This is post-Christian special pleading: the code of belief condemned at Constantinople was that God created each gang variety in advance, at the beginning of time, which is not the awfully thing as renewal.

The concept of renewal comes from the East, days in addition linked with Hindu and Buddhist influence. It reached Europe, being so drastically overly, in the 18th century, and was in addition determining in Britain in the role of the British overthrow of India, followed by Ceylon and Burma, opened a street for it.

The if possible person to make it universally personal with English and French intellectuals was Sir William Jones, who has ahead of been mentioned as one of the to start with proponents of divine polarity as the base of the cosmos.

Individual with the smallest amount relationship with archetypal philosophy knows that the concept of renewal (or, promote truly, metempsychosis) was ascribed by the ancients to any Pythagoras and Socrates, and in addition that this inspiration tidings reasonably highly in the writings of Plato.

And individuality with even the ceiling momentary link with archetypal literature knows that renewal is a central pattern in Ovid's Metamorphoses. And having the status of Chaucer references Ovid, by name, promote habitually than any other critic, even an instruction native impartial to English literature would require one to be conclusion with the ceiling well personal work of Publius Ovidius Naso and its state concern sympathy.

Accordingly stage is no suited for dialogue of renewal as an inspiration "from the East, days in addition linked with Hindu and Buddhist influence," and which absolutely "reached Europe" in the 18th century due to the "overthrow of India", lacking which overthrow, we are passed away to praise, Europeans would swallow continued to be accidental of this concept allegedly so supernatural and totally novel to the western deduce.

The writings of Francois Bernier (1625-1688) and Thomas Tryon (1634-1703) illustrate that any men were conclusion with the Pythagorean concept of renewal. We know this in the role of they any that is rejected the inspiration of renewal, and in discharge duty so they any advance any Pythagoreanism and India as sources of this inspiration.

Why did Bernier and Tryon assume the basic to make it uncomprehending that they were not advocates of the inspiration of reincarnation? Seeing that any were advocates of what came to be personal as "the Pythagorean healthy", that is, vegetarianism. Suitably, the bond of Pythagoreanism with renewal was strong satisfactory at the time that any flirtation with Pythagoreanism, even down in the dumps biologically "dietary" coldness, was satisfactory to rile knowledge that one was advocating the Pagan inspiration of renewal. See Tristam Stuart's skilled The Bloodless Disorder for a sermon of Bernier and Tryon.

Noticeably accidental of Bernier and Tryon, Hutton claims that Sir William Jones (1746-1794) was "[t]he if possible person to make [renewal] universally personal with English and French intellectuals." First of all, as demonstrated by the bags of Bernier and Tryon, renewal was ahead of personal to European intellectuals a century near Jones, as was, additionally, the ancestry between renewal and archetypal Greek Paganism.

Follow up of all, Sir William Jones was himself in addition conclusion with the parallels between the brain wave of the ancient Pythagoreans and the brain wave encountered with Hindus of his day, for, in his The Gentiles of Hindoustan (a letter he wrote in October of 1667 to Monsier Chapelain, and which is included in the 1996 Asian Academic Services emanate of Jones' Whereabouts in the Tycoon Rule, AD 1656-1668), he states that "The Gentiles praise in a code of belief go bust to that of the Pythagoreans with regard to the transmigration of souls, and look after it secret to hush up or eat any animal." See in addition Lynn Sharpe's, Mortal Mysticism, her study of "renewal and spiritism in 19th century France", everyplace she states that Sir William Jones had "related Indic metempsychosis, Pythagorean metempsychosis, and Platonic myth." [p. 9]

Accordingly, if Hutton were actually conclusion with Sir William Jones' intelligence on renewal, he would know that Jones' writings deny the declaration that renewal is an "Eastern inspiration" that had to be imported to Europe from Asia. Correctly, Sir William Jones' writings display over and done any expect that 18th century Europeans who encountered the Hindu form of renewal presently accepted it's affinity to Pythagoreanism.

Power Points Part Three

Power Points Part Three Image
Just as humans have power points, the earth also has areas where energy varies. These are called power spots. Places like Stonehenge, and the Valley of the Dead are examples of power spots. Just as human beings have areas where their energy is more concentrated, so does the earth. Most of the older churches and temples were built on power spots, where it is much easier to connect with the spiritual realms.

When you approach a sacred place, you can feel it's power and the strength that lies there. These places can be used to intensify your personal power and to assist you in connecting more fully with your spiritual center. Whenever you enter a room you automatically gravitate toward a place that feels comfortable. The place that you feel most comfortable in is often your personal power spot. It is the place that balances most closely with your own energy. As you stand or sit in this spot, your energy is magnified; it is like putting jumper cables on a car battery.

The ability to consciously find these power spots can greatly enhance your sensitivities to energy and your own process. Being able to find these will allow you to know a little more about yourself than you did before. I suggest you find your power spot in nature. In any given location, there is a place that fits you better energetically than any other location. There are also places that can drain your energy and make you feel and act less effectively. It is important to be able to tell the difference. One spot may energize you while another weakens you and can actually make you sick.

There are three major types of power spots. One type gives you energy and is healing. Another type of spot actually drains energy from anything within its boundaries. There are also power spots that are tricksters. They confuse people and trick them into giving up their power and sanity. It takes practice to be able to differentiate between them. The easiest way to tell between the types is by how you feel. It is important to trust how you feel and what you sense as you explore the energy levels of the different types of power spots. These spots affect you whether you are consciously aware of them or not.

Begin by calling upon your angels and ask the universe for guidance. Relax and focus on your breathing. Slowly look around the area. Does one spot "look" brighter than the other? See how each section feels as you stand in it. Feel from your heart. Do some feel lighter and some heavy? Do you feel confused as you stand in some places? Now slowly walk around the area. Take time to stand in any place that attracts you. compare how each one feels to you. Notice the plants and grasses in the various areas. Do they look healthier in one place, greener and more alive? Let your self look intuitively where your power place is.

Now sit down and begin to meditate. How do you feel as you sit in that spot? Does the energy feel loving and peaceful? If it feels rough or unsettling, move. Soon it will become second nature; you will automatically sit in your power spot. Avoid listening to your mind during this process. Trust the inner knowing. Your inner knowing, your sacred self, will never lie to you.

(go to part one - two - three - four )

Concerning Thelema

Concerning Thelema Cover
Issued by the Thelemic Order and Temple of the Golden Dawn

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

How can I define Thelema? I must first mention that no one man or woman can represent a religion, not even its founder. For with each contact an idea or system is changed, humans are filters according to their experiences, and religion is a social phenomenon involving more than one person. Therefore in no way should this short article be considered as speaking for the religion itself. But it may be read as the insights of one into a religion he has taken to heart.

In the words of Aleister Crowley (pronounced Crow-lee, not Crau- lee), the "founder of Thelema, ".. . our system is a religion just so far as a religion means an enthusiastic putting-together of a series of doctrines, no one of which must in any way clash with Science or
Magick." Yet he continues with, "Call it a new religion, then, if it so please your Gracious Majesty; but I confess that I fail to see what you will have gained by so doing, and I feel bound to add that you might easily cause a great deal of misunderstanding, and work a
rather stupid kind of mischief." (Magick Without Tears, New Falcon Publications.)

Thelema is an extremely individualistic religion yet its members are often in accord through common practices and literature. One such piece of literature is considered the foundation of Thelema. This is The Book of the Law. This book (sometimes referred to as Liber AL or Liber Legis or Liber CCXX, etc.) is many things to many people, but its acceptance as a guide for life is often considered a requirement for being a Thelemite. The Book of the Law, along with other books classified as "Class A", is a Holy Book and is treated as such in the ceremonies of the organizations based on Thelema. To those interested, it should be studied (perhaps memorized) but definitely not taken at face value. Its study is very much an exercise in allegory, symbol, and qabalistic manipulations. This seems, perhaps,
true also for the Holy Books of other religions as The Ineffable, if not experienced directly, must be clothed in symbol.

The Book of the Law posits three main gods: Nuit -- the Universe itself; Hadit -- the spark of life and Self within us; and Ra- Hoor-Khuit -- the child of the conjoining of Nuit and Hadit and the Lord of the present Aeon. The Book of the Law itself is divided into
three chapters attributed to each in turn. As to the "aeons", it is common in Thelemic society to consider the history of mankind as summarizable into periods of a dominating magickal formula or word. Sometimes a time frame of two thousand years is allotted for each
Aeon, but this is often debated. Grossly generalized, the early history of man was matriarchal and representable by the Egyptian Goddess Isis. Next came a patriarchal rule symbolized by Osiris. And the present age, still in its beginnings, is represented by the child
and god, Horus.

The main doctrines from Liber AL are perhaps the most familiar to those who have met a few Thelemites and are summed up in two classic quotations, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" and "Love is the law, love under will." It is far beyond the scope of
this article to analyze these quotations, but it may be useful to point out that as modes of greeting and departing they are often shortened to "93". This is due to the enumeration of the Greek words "Thelema" and "Agape" which mean Will and Love. In short, "Do what
thou wilt" describes the aspiration of the Thelemite to complete the Great Work. This is our goal as human beings and the purpose of our existence. Not much more can be said on this point, for the Great Work is the most private affair imaginable. It involves the essence
of one as Self.

Love is the law, love under will.

Recognising The Power Of The Universe Part 1

Recognising The Power Of The Universe Part 1 Image
In order to use the great power that permeates every atom of the universe and breathes life into the world around us, we must first learn to recognise it. Too often we take the workings of nature for granted and ignore, or are ignorant of the everyday miracles that enable life to continue on this small planet of ours.

Living and working as we do in the controlled atmosphere of houses, offices, factories or shops, travelling in the comfort of motor vehicles, we lose touch with the rhythm of the seasons and phases of the moon that are so important to us all for food and growth. Even people engaged in agriculture are in a constant battle against nature instead of working with her, especially since intensive livestock rearing and the growing of engineered vegetable crops are now the norm.

Because civilisation has moved so far from the natural world, a conscious effort must be made to regain the sense of wonder that comes from observing the vitality in plants and animals, to feel the undercurrents in the air as subtle changes occur throughout the year. (read part two)
