A Baby Blessing Spell

To bless a newborn as she begins life's journey, gather one rattle, a piece of blue paper, a pen with silver ink, a small box, and silver glitter. As the baby sleeps, gently shake the rattle three times; place it in the box. On the blue paper draw with the silver ink an image of a boat; place it in the box. Sprinkle some glitter over the box's contents as you say:

Little one, your journey has begun.
But the best is still to come.
Live long and live well.
Let no one break this spell.
Keep the box hidden.
