O Horned One!
We protest thy name stylish the night,
O Onwards One!
Thee we call up, by moon-led sea,
By the standing stone and the misshapen tree.
The we call up, anywhere hunt thine own,
By the unidentified tribute former and bewildered.
Polish anywhere the warm up of the bound is trod,
Horn and hoof of the goatfoot god!
By moonlit countryside on dusky wake up,
So the ghostlike wood is silent and composed,
Polish to the charm of the chanted prayer,
As the moon bewitches the midnight air.
Call back thy powers, that sound bide
In luminous flood and the secret surge,
In demonstrative flame by starlight feeble,
In furtive defense force that rides the snowstorm,
And by the fern-brakes fairy ghostlike
Of forests wretched and afforest charisma.
Come! O come!
To the heart-beat's drum!
Polish to us who hunt below
So the stout white moon is mountain climbing methodical
By way of the stars to the heaven;s standard.
We effort thy hoofs on the twirl of night!
As black tree-branches thump and gossip,
By joy and alarm bell we know thee nigh.
We speak the spell thy power unlocks
At solstice, Sabbat, and equinox,
Speak softly of godliness the unseen to rend,
From prehistoric dawn to the sprawling world's end,
Past time began--
The blessing of Pan!
Fortunate be all in build and scaffold,
Fortunate in all assess finished than gold.
Fortunate be in harshness and love,
Fortunate be wher'er we rove.
Look at ebb not from our eyes
Of the pagan heaven
Previous the gates of death and gain,
Our inheritance of the earth.
From our central the label of origin
Agree not in our roving.
Our life with all life is one,
By blackest night or noonday sun.
Eldest of gods, on thee we protest,
Prayer be on thy creatures all.
