LOCATION: U of M Rarig Headquarters Xperimental

SUMMARY: This modern retelling of the Greek myth about Orpheus following his love Eurydice in the field of the underworld uses blues music to add to the story.

HIGHLIGHTS: This is a really cool pack, very special and transporting, so that transitory the show business feels a bit harsh. We're all adapted with the story - Orpheus' partner Eurydice dies so he follows her to the underworld to bring her back. But this adaptation focuses beyond on Eurydice and why she left in the beat place - turns out Orpheus is a persuasive manipulative squeeze. He comes in the field of the underworld and takes finished, tying up Persephone, queen of the underworld, who requirements her population to overlook the back (by intake a green elixir) and be make happy. But sluggishly, relationship comes back and Eurydice makes a higher. It's color of trippy but the music is fantastic! And the cast is imposing - Eric Mayson the stage Orpheus as a mineral star, with around and guitar-playing skills to match; Rachel Austin has a strong and conscious bluesy around as Eurydice; Rebecca Battlement is a regal and knowledge Persephone; and the group supports them well musically and overemotionally (directed by Ricardo Vazquez). Patch line: a beautiful and appealing exploration using music to shell new light on one of the oldest stories in the world. I wish I can buy the make a note.
